**What we are working on in class during the week of**

**February 26th through March 2nd:**

**Math:**We are working on content in the pre-algebra strain of mathematics. Students are writing expressions with one or two variables. Students are writing equivalent expressions with variables using the distributive property. Students are simplifying expressions based on the order of operations.

**English Language Arts:**Students are reading about controversial topics and learning how to construct an argument. They are identifying claims in an argument and deciphering the reasoning and evidence that the author gives in order to support their claims.

**Science:**Students are studying physics concepts with Mrs. Gonzalez.
